Appliance Repair in Conyers GA
Appliance repair in Conyers, GA has a median cost of $275 per completed visit, and $358 once a part is actually replaced. Those two numbers come from 857 jobs we have run inside Conyers for 715 households, 632 of which closed as paid work, which is deep enough that five of the six appliances below rest on dozens of local invoices rather than a handful.
What that record says about this city is specific: 422 of those 632 paid visits, two in three, ended with a part fitted and the appliance working again. That is why the with-a-part figure, $358, sits close to the metro norm. Only 58 jobs out of 857, nine percent, crossed $500.
All three Conyers ZIP codes get the same price list and no travel surcharge, the diagnostic is $99 and it comes off the bill when you approve the work, and every completed repair carries a 90-day parts and labor warranty.

Refrigerator, washer, dryer, oven, dishwasher, freezer and ice maker. You get the total before the technician starts, and most Conyers repairs are finished on the first visit.
What Appliance Repair Costs in Conyers, GA
Every figure below comes from our own completed Conyers invoices, with the part, the labor and the service call added into one number. The first price column is what a typical visit ends up costing once the no-repair visits are counted in, which in this city matters more than anywhere else we work.
The second column is what it costs when the machine genuinely needs a component. The last column is the sample, because seventeen freezer and ice maker jobs and seventy-six refrigerator jobs are different levels of certainty, and you should be able to see which is which rather than take one number on trust.
| Appliance | Median, all paid jobs | Median with a part replaced | Middle half | Jobs with a part (n) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator | $310 | $420 | $323 to $562 | 76 |
| Washer | $243 | $394 | $313 to $446 | 49 |
| Dryer | $352 | $378 | $320 to $439 | 24 |
| Dishwasher | $225 | $295 | $276 to $381 | 25 |
| Oven and range | $285 | $348 | $285 to $499 | 25 |
| Freezer and ice maker | 17 Conyers jobs, and reading them one by one shows the larger amounts were diagnostic visits rather than part replacements, so we publish no local median. Company-wide with a part: $415 ice maker, $375 freezer. | |||
The number that stands out on this table is the dishwasher. At $295 with a part replaced it is the cheapest dishwasher repair on our entire board, against $410 in Peachtree City, $356 in Fayetteville, $350 in Newnan and $338 across our whole service area.
That is not a local discount, it is a difference in what is installed and what fails, and we explain it below. The rest of the city is remarkably flat: four of the six appliances land between $348 and $420 with a part replaced, and the middle half of all with-a-part work in Conyers is $285 to $444.
The refrigerator is the one machine that breaks out of the pack, and it breaks upward, with a middle half running to $562 and 26 of its 121 paid jobs closing above $500. Company-wide context is on how much appliance repair costs in Atlanta, and why we publish two price columns instead of one is explained in how appliance repair pricing works.
Why Conyers Appliances Break the Way They Do
Conyers began as a watering post on the Georgia Railroad in the 1840s, was incorporated in 1854 and named after Dr. W. D. Conyers, a banker from Covington, and it is still the county seat and the only incorporated city in Rockdale County.
Rockdale is the second-smallest county in Georgia by area, 132 square miles in total, so a Conyers mailing address covers effectively the whole county: the three ZIP codes on this page hold about 36,450 housing units between them.
Our 857 jobs against that comes to 23.5 jobs per thousand homes, ahead of Peachtree City at 22.3, Fayetteville at about 19.5 and Newnan at 12 to 15, which is partly the maturity of the route and partly what is behind the doors. Here is what a technician actually finds.
Three cohorts of kitchen, and almost no built-ins 1900s · 1975–2000 · TODAY
Rockdale County held 18,152 people in 1970, 36,747 in 1980, 54,091 in 1990, 70,111 in 2000, 85,215 in 2010 and 93,570 in 2020. Read that as a building record and the bulk of the county’s housing went up between roughly 1975 and 2000, which puts most Conyers kitchens at 25 to 50 years old and on their second or third set of appliances.
Two smaller cohorts sit either side: the Olde Town residential historic district, developed from the 1840s onward with many of its houses built as Craftsman bungalows in the early 1900s, and the current construction in 30094 on the southwest side. What matters for your bill is that almost none of it is panelled built-in kitchen equipment.
Conyers runs on freestanding ranges and freestanding dishwashers that slide out from under a counter, and a machine that slides out costs an hour less to reach than one that has to be unpanelled and lifted from a cabinet. That single fact is most of why our dishwasher median here is $295 and Peachtree City’s is $410.
One utility for water and sewer, one lake behind it RANDY POYNTER · 22.1 MGD
Rockdale Water Resources is the sole supplier of both water and sewer service in Rockdale County, and the supply is entirely surface water, drawn from Randy Poynter Lake and the Big Haynes and Little Haynes creeks that feed it, treated at a plant completed in 2002 that can handle 22.1 million gallons a day against average demand of 8 to 9 million.
Both halves of that sentence change how we diagnose here. Because there is one sewer system and no septic country, a washer or dishwasher that “will not drain” is a fault inside the machine, its filter, its hose or its standpipe, and there is no drainfield to eliminate first the way there is in unincorporated Fayette or Coweta County.
And because the supply is surface water with no well-versus-city variation, every house on this route gets water of the same character, but that character moves with the season and the rainfall, so a refrigerator filter or an inlet valve does not clog on a neat six-month schedule.
We do not publish a hardness figure for Conyers, because we have not found one for Rockdale County in a primary source and we will not repeat one we cannot stand behind. Filter guidance is on refrigerator water filter replacement.
The August 2026 boil advisory, and what it means for ice 4 TO 7 AUGUST
Rockdale Water Resources issued a boil water advisory at 7:30 PM on Tuesday 4 August 2026 for the service area north of Interstate 20, extended it on 6 August when one of twenty samples needed re-testing, and lifted it on 7 August. Boiling protects drinking water, but an ice maker boils nothing: it takes the supply through a filter and freezes it as it is.
So during any advisory the ice maker should be switched off and the bin emptied, the water dispenser left alone, and the first two or three batches discarded once the notice is lifted.
That last step is also when people discover a fill valve that was already weak, because a bin emptied and restarted shows you exactly how fast the machine really makes ice, and a valve that takes two days to fill a bin was failing before the advisory rather than because of it. The ice side has its own Conyers page: ice maker and freezer repair.
Two power companies, and the night of 2 April 2024 115 MPH
Power in Conyers comes from either Georgia Power or Snapping Shoals EMC, a member-owned cooperative serving about 100,000 homes and businesses across eight counties and the largest electricity supplier in Rockdale by volume sold. Two systems on one street grid means a storm can take neighbouring blocks down and bring them back at different moments, and every restart is a surge event for a control board.
Conyers has a hard local example: late on Tuesday 2 April 2024 an EF-2 tornado with maximum winds of 115 mph touched down southwest of the city and tracked north of Olde Town, damaging at least 30 houses, leaving dozens of roads impassable and more than 2,300 Georgia Power customers in Rockdale without power by the next morning.
Boards are the largest single group of named parts in our Conyers record: 27 invoices name a control, main, inverter or user-interface board, among them a refrigerator control board at $854, a Frigidaire main control board at $610, another at $640, a Samsung washer inverter board at $697 and a washer control board at $438.
A board is the most expensive routine repair on every appliance we service and the most weather-driven one. More in control board and smart appliance repair.
Whirlpool and Samsung, neck and neck, and it decides your wait 228 VS 103
Of the 332 Conyers jobs where we recorded a brand, the tags run Whirlpool 78, Samsung 75, GE 62, Frigidaire 43, Maytag 32, LG 11, Amana 9, Kenmore 8, KitchenAid 8, Bosch 8 and two Thermador refrigerators. No other city we publish is this evenly split at the top, and the split decides how long you wait rather than what you pay.
228 of those 332 jobs are brands whose common parts ride on the van, Whirlpool, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, Amana and Kenmore, and those repairs usually finish the day the technician arrives. 103 are brands we normally order, and Samsung is nearly three quarters of that group on its own.
Samsung is also the leading refrigerator brand in this city by a wide margin, 29 tagged jobs against Frigidaire 12, Whirlpool 12 and GE 11, and our Samsung invoices here run to the electronic and water side of the machine: an ice maker replacement at $815, an evaporator fan assembly at $569, a drain line cleaning at $664, a washer inverter board at $697.
If you have a Samsung, expect the technician to test the board and the drain before naming a price, and expect a straight answer about whether the part is on the shelf or a few days out. What brand counts do and do not say about reliability is on the most-serviced appliance brands.
The dryer is the newest part of this route, and the most honest machine on it 5 OF 29
39 of our 45 Conyers dryer jobs are from the last twelve months and 22 fall in 2026 alone. That is not a wave of failing dryers, it is our route reaching the laundry rooms of a city where we had been doing mostly kitchen work, and it is worth knowing because dryers behave unlike anything else on this page.
Only 5 of 29 paid dryer visits here needed a part fitted needed a part fitted, 82.8 percent, against 42 percent on washers and dishwashers. A dryer that will not heat has a failed element, fuse or igniter; one that will not tumble has a belt or a motor; there is very little in between.
Our Conyers dryer invoices are exactly that list: a Maytag heating element at $404, another element at $398, a Samsung belt and pulley at $423, a Maytag belt at $355, a GE belt at $352, each with the machine cleaned out as part of the job.
Across our whole service area June is the peak dryer month, 14 percent of the year’s dryer calls against 5.3 percent in February, which is what a humid Georgia summer does to a vent that was already marginal.
🚚 Conyers is a standing route, not a special trip. 242 jobs here in the last twelve months across all three ZIP codes, so the van is usually somewhere on the I-20 corridor between Sigman Road and Salem Road already.
Do We Cover Your Address? Conyers by ZIP
Conyers has three ZIP codes and we cover all three at the same price. They are genuinely different places, and both the amount of work we do and the size of the bill move with them.
| ZIP | Area | Our jobs | Housing units | Median home value | Median income | With a part |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30012 | West and north Conyers, out toward the DeKalb, Gwinnett and Walton lines | 204 | 12,314 | $268,100 | $66,153 | $340 |
| 30013 | East Conyers toward the Newton County line | 282 | 11,130 | $308,400 | $74,691 | $372 |
| 30094 | South and southwest Conyers, where the county’s new construction is | 371 | 13,008 | $296,800 | $88,530 | $360 |
Those housing and income figures are 2024 American Community Survey data via zip-codes.com. Set our job counts against the housing units and the three ZIPs are not close: 30094 calls us at 28.5 jobs per thousand homes, 30013 at 25.3 and 30012 at 16.6. The 30094 rate is 72 percent higher than 30012, and the likeliest reason is tenure rather than machines.
30094 is 79 percent owner-occupied with a median household income of $88,530. 30012 is 62 percent owner-occupied, 38 percent renters, with an income of $66,153. An owner calls a technician about their own refrigerator; in a rental the tenant calls a landlord, and a fair share of those machines end up swapped for whatever is cheapest rather than repaired.
Price runs along a different line than volume: 30013 carries the highest with-a-part median at $372 alongside the highest home values, and 30012 the lowest at $340. Same $99 diagnostic, same warranty, same number to call in all three.
Around Conyers
The eastern side of the metro is one set of routes for us. Covington, 853 jobs, is fifteen minutes further east on I-20 and has a full cluster of its own, with Oxford, 101 jobs, immediately north of it, and Social Circle, 70 jobs at the lowest repair median in this corridor, and Monroe, 260, on the road beyond it. North of us the same routes cover Loganville.
South on GA-138 we cover McDonough, 746 jobs, another full cluster, with Stockbridge at 363 on the way. West toward DeKalb are Lithonia, 462 jobs, and Stonecrest, 341, and beyond them the five ZIP codes of Decatur, 892 jobs, which now has a full cluster of its own.
North across the Gwinnett line are Snellville, 447, and Loganville, 463, with Lawrenceville, 813 jobs, beyond them at the top of the county. The whole metro picture is on appliance repair in Atlanta.
Match Your Symptom to the Likely Cause
- Refrigerator warming up while the freezer still freezes, or water pooling under the crispers — a blocked defrost drain or a failed evaporator fan at the cheap end, a main board or the sealed system at the top. Our Conyers invoices include drain line work at $664 and $677 and boards from $610 to $854. Background in refrigerator not cooling, and check the correct refrigerator temperature when you book.
- Washer will not drain, will not spin, or walks across the laundry room — a clogged pump filter or a kinked hose, which costs nothing, then the drain pump at $455 to $479 on Conyers jobs, suspension rods at $436, or a Maytag transmission at $503. On a sewered street the fault is in the machine. See why a washer will not drain and washing machine out of balance.
- Dryer runs but the clothes are still damp, or it will not start — a heating element, $398 to $404 here, a belt at $352 to $423, or a vent that silted up over the summer. A part is in the bill on 83 percent of Conyers dryer visits, the highest share of any appliance in the city. Also dryer not heating.
- Dishwasher leaves standing water, or the dishes come out dirty — the filter, the disposal knockout plug or the drain hose loop, all free, then a hose cleaning at $276 to $325 or a circulation pump at $381 to $404. The cheapest repair we do in this city and the one most often not a repair at all. Also dishwasher not cleaning dishes.
- Oven will not heat, or a gas burner clicks without lighting — an igniter, $342 to $355 on Conyers jobs, a bake element, a GE door lock at $499, or a control board at $627. Read gas stove burner will not light and oven temperature off.
- Ice maker empty or slow, or a freezer running without freezing — a fill valve, a frozen fill tube, an ice maker module, or in this city quite often the whole assembly: our Conyers invoices include ice maker replacements at $815, $490 and $449 and a GE ice bin at $737. Company-wide figures on ice maker repair.
Which Brands We See in Conyers
By appliance the brand picture changes shape sharply, and it is worth knowing which group your machine sits in before you call. Refrigerators are Samsung-led and not narrowly: Samsung 29 tagged jobs against Frigidaire 12, Whirlpool 12, GE 11, then KitchenAid and LG at 4 each and two Thermador units.
Washers are a four-way tie, Whirlpool 14, GE 12, Maytag 12 and Samsung 12, with LG and Frigidaire at 5. Dryers are Whirlpool 5, GE 4, Maytag 3 and Samsung 3. Dishwashers are the one category where premium badges appear at all, Bosch 6 and Frigidaire 6, then Samsung 5, Whirlpool 4, KitchenAid 3 and GE 3. Ovens and ranges are GE 11, Whirlpool 10 and Frigidaire 7.
One job in that dishwasher list is worth naming, because it is the exception that shows the rule. Our largest Conyers dishwasher invoice is a Bosch power module at $583, almost exactly double the city’s $295 dishwasher median. That is the kind of repair that makes Peachtree City and Fayetteville read as expensive on paper, and in Conyers it is rare enough to stand alone in the record.
If a part has to be ordered, you get the lead time before you approve the repair rather than after.
Repair or Replace, on the Conyers Numbers
For five of the six categories on this page, repair wins and it is not close. A dishwasher at $295, an oven at $348, a dryer at $378, a washer at $394 or an ice maker at $385, set against a comparable new machine plus delivery, haul-away and installation, is straightforward arithmetic, and you keep a machine whose quirks you already know.
The refrigerator is where the thinking has to happen, and Conyers gives us an unusually clear record of how that conversation actually ends.
Eleven of our Conyers invoices name a compressor. Four of them were replacements, at $1,365 on a Kenmore, $1,280, $868 on a Samsung and $355 on a compressor assembly. The other seven ended with the fault written down and no repair done. That is what a sealed-system quote looks like in practice in this city: most people hear the number, weigh it against a twelve-year-old refrigerator, and buy a new one.
Company-wide, a compressor quote splits close to even, and past about twelve years on a standard unit that is usually the right call and we say so rather than sell the repair. Below the compressor line, at $323 for a fan or a drain, repair wins comfortably, and 50 of the 76 Conyers refrigerator jobs where we did replace a part came in under $500.
The full arithmetic is in the repair versus replacement guide, the approval figures on appliance repair approval rate, and typical service lives on how long refrigerators last.

Appliance Repair in Conyers — Questions We Get
How much does appliance repair cost in Conyers, GA?
The median completed visit in Conyers is $275, and $358 once a part is actually replaced, counting the part, the labor and the service call together. Those are medians from 632 paid jobs we have run inside the city. About two thirds of visits end with a component replaced, and the cheaper remainder is what pulls the all-visits figure down, and only 58 jobs out of 857 crossed $500.
By appliance, the median with a part replaced is $420 on refrigerators, $394 on washers, $378 on dryers, $348 on ovens and ranges and $295 on dishwashers, and the ice maker and freezer sample is too thin for a local median, so we use the company-wide $415 and $375 there.
Do you cover 30012, 30013 and 30094?
All three, at the same price list and with no travel surcharge. 371 of our Conyers jobs are in 30094 on the south and southwest side, 282 in 30013 toward the Newton County line and 204 in 30012 on the west and north side. The median with a part replaced is $360 in 30094, $372 in 30013 and $340 in 30012.
The same $99 diagnostic and the same 90-day parts and labor warranty apply in all three, and with 242 jobs here in the last twelve months Conyers is a standing route rather than a special trip.
Why is dishwasher repair cheaper in Conyers than elsewhere in the metro?
Because of what is installed and what fails. Our Conyers dishwasher median with a part replaced is $295, against $410 in Peachtree City, $356 in Fayetteville and $338 across our whole service area. Conyers kitchens are overwhelmingly freestanding dishwashers that slide out from under a counter rather than panelled built-ins that have to be unpanelled and lifted from cabinetry, which is an hour of labor difference on the same fault.
The local work is also modest in kind: hose cleanings at $276 and $325, a control board reset at $282, a spray arm at $286, with only one job in 45 above $500. On top of that, 19 of 45 paid dishwasher visits here needed a part fitted needed a part fitted, 58 percent , end with a part fitted at all.
What have you actually repaired in Conyers?
857 jobs across 715 households. Paid completed work by appliance: refrigerators 121, washers 89, dishwashers 45, ovens and ranges 39, dryers 29, freezers and ice makers 15. 242 of those jobs fall in the last twelve months and 147 in 2026, so this is current work rather than history, and 39 of our 45 dryer jobs are from the last year alone, as the route reached the city’s laundry rooms.
What does the $99 diagnostic include?
A meter on the machine and a firm total before any work starts. The technician tests the actual fault rather than guessing from the symptom, so the part that goes in is the part that failed. The diagnostic is $99 and it is applied to the repair the moment you approve the work, which means an approved job never pays it twice.
You also get the lead time up front on any part that has to be ordered, and every completed repair carries a 90-day parts and labor warranty. In Conyers the median repair once a part is replaced is $358, so you have a good idea of the number before anyone arrives.
My washer will not drain. Could it be the sewer or a septic tank?
Not a septic tank. Rockdale Water Resources is the sole supplier of water and sewer service in Rockdale County, so unlike the unincorporated parts of Fayette or Coweta County there is no drainfield to rule out first. A Conyers washer that will not drain has a clogged pump filter, a kinked or over-inserted drain hose, or a failed drain pump, and the first two are cleared on the diagnostic.
Our local drain pump jobs ran $455 to $479. If the kitchen or laundry sink is slow at the same time, that is a shared drain line and a plumber’s job, and we will tell you rather than replace a pump you did not need.
Can you come out the same day in Conyers?
Often, yes. With 242 jobs here in the last twelve months across all three ZIP codes, a van is usually already on the I-20 corridor, so same-day comes down to where it is when you call and how early in the day you book. Refrigerator and freezer calls get priority because food loss is on a clock.
Whirlpool, GE, Maytag and Frigidaire parts ride on the van and cover most of our Conyers work; Samsung refrigerator components and Bosch dishwasher parts are the ones most often ordered, and we tell you the lead time before you approve anything. More on how we handle urgent work is on our same-day and emergency repair page.
