Where these reviews come from

Every rating on this page is pulled from our own Google Business Profiles — one per metro, eight in total. They are not collected on our website, we cannot edit them, and anyone can open the profile and read the same thing we are showing you.

That is the point of quoting Google rather than a testimonial box. A review left on a Business Profile is tied to a Google account and to a real visit, and it stays there whether we like what it says or not.

Why the rating differs from metro to metro

The averages are not identical across the eight cities, and they should not be. Each metro has its own crew, its own volume of work and its own history. A profile with four hundred reviews moves slowly; a newer one moves with every job.

Volume also shapes the mix. The metros where we run the most jobs carry the most detail on their profiles — including the awkward days, which is what makes the good ones worth reading.

If a company shows you the same perfect number in every city, that is worth a second look. Real profiles drift apart.

What people actually write about

Read enough of them and the same four things come up.

Arriving when we said. More reviews mention the arrival window than mention the repair itself. A set window and a call ahead is apparently rarer in this trade than it should be.

Having the part on the van. Most repairs finish on the first visit because the common parts for the big brands ride with the technician. When people write that they expected to wait a week and did not, that is what happened.

Being told the truth about an old machine. Several reviews describe a technician putting the repair price next to the cost of a new unit and letting the customer decide. That is our standing instruction to every tech, not a one-off.

Explaining the fault in plain words. People remember being shown the failed part. It is a small thing that takes two minutes and changes how the whole visit feels.

What we do when a job goes wrong

Appliances are stubborn and days go sideways. Every completed repair carries 90 days on parts and labor, so if the same fault comes back inside that window, the return visit costs nothing — call the number for your metro and reference the original invoice.

If something else went wrong — a window missed, a quote that was not clear enough — tell us before you tell Google, and we will fix it if it can be fixed. If you have already written the review, we still answer it. Answering a complaint properly is more useful to the next reader than the complaint never existing.

How to check any of this yourself

Search the company name and the city in Google Maps. That opens the profile for that metro: the rating, the review count, the photos and the replies. Compare it to what is on this page.

Two things are worth looking at while you are there. The dates, because a wall of reviews posted in one week means something different from a steady trickle over three years. And the replies, because how a company answers a two-star review tells you more than any number of five-star ones.

Before you book anywhere — ours or anyone else's — check that the licence and insurance are current, ask what the service call costs and whether it comes off the repair, and ask how long the warranty on the work runs. Three questions, two minutes, and they sort most of the field.

Leaving one yourself

If we have worked at your address, the review that helps the next person is the specific one. Which appliance, what was wrong with it, whether the technician arrived in the window, and whether the price at the end matched the price quoted at the start. Two sentences of that beat a paragraph of praise.

Post it on the Google profile for your metro rather than anywhere else. That is where people actually look before booking, and it is the only place we cannot edit a word of it.

If the visit fell short, write that too, and give us the invoice number in the review. We answer every one, and a fault still inside the 90-day window is ours to come back and fix at no charge.

Reading between the stars

A five-star average with forty reviews and a four-point-eight with five thousand are not the same claim. The second one has survived thousands of ordinary days: rush hour traffic, parts that arrived late, appliances that turned out to be beyond saving.

What you want from a rating is not perfection but consistency — the same standard in July, when every fridge in the state is struggling, as in a quiet week in October.

The numbers behind the service

Reviews describe the experience. These describe the work: more than 51,000 completed repairs across eight metros, a $99 diagnostic that comes off the bill when the repair is approved, and 90 days of parts and labor cover on every finished job.

What repairs actually cost is published in full on our pricing page and, in more detail, on cost by part — 46 components across 29,315 repairs. How often same-day really happens is measured on same-day repair rates, from 63,970 jobs.
