About Cornelius, NC

Wikipedia describes Cornelius as a suburban town along Lake Norman in northern Mecklenburg County, about 20 miles north of Charlotte, incorporated in 1905. Cornelius grew from 24,866 residents at the 2010 census to 31,412 at the 2020 census, up 26 percent.

The same article says Cornelius is bordered to the north and east by Davidson and to the south by Huntersville, and that Interstate 77 crosses the middle of the town, with access at Exit 28, Catawba Avenue.
