By land area, 28027 is 62.0 percent City of Concord, 10.6 percent Kannapolis and 27.1 percent outside any city or town. 28025 is a different shape: 17.6 percent of its land is inside Concord, small slivers sit in Mount Pleasant, Harrisburg, Midland and Kannapolis, and 80.6 percent is unincorporated Cabarrus County. The City Behind the Numbers

According to Wikipedia, Concord is the seat of Cabarrus County and its most populous city, about 20 miles northeast of Uptown Charlotte. It is home to Charlotte Motor Speedway and to the Concord Mills retail center. The census counted 79,066 residents in 2010 and 105,240 in 2020, a rise of 33 percent in ten years.

The American Community Survey, 2020 to 2024 estimates, puts the city at 108,719 people in 43,142 housing units, with a median home built in 1998. Close to half of the housing, 46.9 percent, went up in 2000 or later. Owners occupy 65.2 percent of occupied homes and renters 34.8 percent, and the median resident is 36.5 years old.

In that survey, 12.0 percent of Concord residents are 65 or older, and veterans make up 6.2 percent of civilian adults. Seniors and veterans each take $30 off every repair; mention it at booking and the ticket will show it.
