Appliance Repair in Dallas GA

🔧 334 Dallas Jobs on File 📍 Both Dallas Postal Areas 🏠 296 Dallas Households 💰 $99 Diagnostic · Applied to the Repair 🛡️ 90-Day Parts and Labor Warranty

Appliance repair in Dallas, GA runs a median of $349 once a part is actually replaced, and the middle half of those jobs falls between $285 and $425. That comes from 334 jobs we have run inside Dallas across 296 separate households, 225 of which finished as paid work and 137 of which finished with a part fitted.

Seven invoices sit far above that median and they are listed in a table further down this page, before any of the per-appliance numbers, because a handful of four-figure jobs can quietly drag an average somewhere no real household ever paid. Strip those seven out and the median moves by four dollars, to $345.

That is the useful fact about this city: appliance repair in Dallas is remarkably consistent, and the exceptions are rare enough to count on one hand.

Appliance Repair in Dallas, GA

Refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens and ranges, ice makers and freezers. Both sides of town, from the county seat out to the Hiram line and north toward the Bartow County line. Total confirmed before the work starts.

The Seven Invoices That Sit Above Everything Else

Before a single median appears on this page, here is every Dallas invoice that came in at more than twice the with-a-part median. There are seven of them out of 225 paid jobs. Three are sealed-system work, where a compressor is replaced and the machine is recharged, which is the single most expensive thing that can happen to a refrigerator or a freezer.

The rest are large multi-part repairs. They are shown here rather than buried, because a reader who wants to know what a repair costs is entitled to see the shape of the whole distribution and not just its middle.

DateTotalWhat it was
May 2026$1,650Multi-part repair, largest Dallas invoice on file
July 2024$1,300Compressor replacement, parts and labor
November 2024$1,299Freezer compressor failure, parts and labor
April 2026$1,250LG sealed-system work
November 2025$907Large oven and range repair
June 2024$851Multi-part repair
October 2025$770Maytag laundry repair
💡 Those seven are three percent of the paid Dallas file. With them in, the with-a-part median is $349. With them removed it is $345. Twenty jobs in this city have finished at $500 or more and six at $800 or more, so the four-figure repair is real, but it is a sealed-system event rather than an ordinary Tuesday.

What Each Appliance Costs in Dallas

The table below is Dallas only. Every figure is the full ticket, the part and the labor and the service call added together, taken from completed invoices rather than from a price list.

The with-a-part median is the number that answers the question people actually ask on the phone, because it describes a visit where something was replaced. Each appliance has its own Dallas page with the component-level breakdown behind it.

ApplianceJobs in DallasMedian with a partMiddle half
Refrigerator69$350$280 to $487
Washer49$361$280 to $452
Dishwasher25$345$225 to $408
Oven and range24$351$295 to $398
Dryer23$356$300 to $397
Ice maker and freezer4Sample too small to publishSee that page

Read the middle column downward and the striking thing is how little it moves. Five of the six appliances land inside eleven dollars of each other, from $345 to $361. That is not a coincidence and it is not us rounding: on an ordinary repair the bill is mostly the visit and the technician time, and the part itself barely shifts it.

A drain pump and a door latch are wildly different objects with wildly different shelf prices, and they produce almost the same invoice. It is why quoting part prices off a parts website is so misleading, and why the metro Atlanta cost page reaches the same conclusion on a much larger sample.

Ice makers and freezers are the exception here, but only because Dallas has given us four of them, which is not enough to publish a local figure at all. That page says so plainly and uses our company-wide numbers instead.

Why Dallas Appliances Fail the Way They Do

A county that nearly doubled, and a kitchen stock that all aged together 168,661 IN 2020

Paulding County went from 142,324 residents in 2010 to 168,661 in 2020, an eighteen percent decade after being ranked the eighth fastest growing county in the nation between 2000 and 2009, when it climbed from 81,613 to 136,655. The city of Dallas itself went from 5,056 people in 2000 to 14,042 in 2020 and an estimated 15,402 by 2025.

That history is written into our call log. Subdivisions that filled between 2004 and 2018 handed thousands of households the same builder-grade packages in the same years, and appliances bought together fail together. It is the reason a single street can produce three calls in a season and the reason our Dallas file is dominated by mid-market brands rather than by a long tail of premium built-ins.

Frigidaire and Samsung, not the metro-wide order 41 SAMSUNG · 33 WHIRLPOOL

Across our Dallas jobs the brand order is Samsung 41, Whirlpool 33, Frigidaire 29, GE 21, Maytag 18 and LG 10, with KitchenAid and Kenmore in single figures. Frigidaire sitting third city-wide is already high compared with most of the metro, and on refrigerators specifically it jumps to first place at 14 of 69 jobs.

That is a builder-package signature: Frigidaire was the volume brand in a lot of Paulding construction. It matters because the failure list differs by brand. Frigidaire faults are mostly mechanical and mid-priced, defrost systems and fan motors and ice maker assemblies, while the Samsung and LG share of the file is where the electronics and sealed-system work lives.

Brand-by-brand background is in our brand reliability write-up, which is ranked on repair volume rather than on opinion.

The tornado of March 2025 and what an outage does to a control board 12,000 HOMES DARK

On the night of 15 to 16 March 2025 the National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado on the ground near Dallas with maximum winds of 110 mph, an eleven and a half mile path and a width of 200 yards, with the worst damage reported around Windale Road near Highway 278 and Highway 61.

Fourteen homes were hit by trees and roughly 12,000 residents lost power, according to the Paulding County Sheriff. Every one of those households then had its power restored, and restoration is the moment a refrigerator control board is most exposed, because it is the one appliance in the house that was running when the lights went out.

A main board is $564 all in on our company-wide numbers. If you are a GreyStone Power member, that cooperative sells surge protection to its members for a fraction of one board.

Two power companies, and a house on the highest ground in the metro ELEVATION 1,043 FT

Dallas sits at 1,043 feet, which makes it one of the highest elevation suburban cities in the Atlanta metropolitan area, and it is served partly by GreyStone Power, a not-for-profit cooperative covering eight counties west of Atlanta with more than 7,700 miles of line and over 155,000 meters, and partly by Georgia Power.

Long rural line runs and high ground both mean more weather exposure per household than an inner suburb sees. The practical consequence is not dramatic and we will not dress it up: it shows in our file as a slightly heavier share of board and electronics work than the appliance mix alone would predict, and as the six jobs on this page that finished above $800.

Soft water, which rules an entire failure story out 38 MG PER LITRE

This is the one place where Dallas is genuinely different from most Georgia pages, including ours. The Paulding County Water System draws primarily from the Richland Creek Reservoir, filled by water pumped from the Etowah River and supplemented by Richland Creek itself, treats it at the Richland Creek plant by coagulation, flocculation, dissolved air flotation and filtration, and also purchases treated water from the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority.

That authority publishes its own hardness figure: about 38 milligrams per litre of calcium carbonate, against the 100 milligrams per litre its own literature calls hard. So the purchased share of Dallas water is soft, and scale is not the explanation for a dishwasher that will not clean or an ice maker producing hollow cubes here.

Paulding does not publish a hardness number for its own reservoir supply, so we do not quote one. What we will say is that the system delivers an average of 15.3 million gallons a day to more than 60,000 customers through 1,300 miles of main, and that a mineral story you read on a generic repair page probably does not apply to your street.

Why this page makes no seasonal claim about Dallas ONE USABLE YEAR

Our metro-wide data shows a clear summer peak, and it would be easy to repeat that here. We are not going to, because the Dallas file will not carry it. Checked year by year rather than pooled, only 2024 is a complete calendar year with work recorded in all twelve months, at 122 jobs.

The 2023 file starts in July, because that is when our coverage of this city really began, and the 2025 file has five months with no jobs at all, which tells you about our dispatch history and not about when appliances break in Paulding County.

One usable year is not a season. Where a month genuinely matters, we say so on the appliance page and we say which sample it rests on.

🚚 127 of our 334 Dallas jobs landed in the last twelve months, which is why a van is on this side of the county most days. Book online and you pick the window yourself, or call and we will tell you honestly what today looks like.

The Two Halves of Dallas, and Why They Bill Differently

Dallas is split down the middle by its two postal areas, 30132 on the north side reaching up toward the Bartow County line and 30157 on the south side running down toward Hiram and the Cobb County line. That is the only place on this page where those digits appear, because nobody searches for their own postal code when the fridge stops.

What matters is that the two halves are not the same kind of place, and our invoices show it.

Side of townHouseholds in the areaMedian home valueMedian household incomeOur jobs
North side, toward the Bartow line15,338$363,300$109,914177
South side, toward Hiram and Cobb17,540$305,600$93,625156

Housing figures are from the published postal area profiles; the job counts are ours. The north side carries the higher home values and gives us slightly more work overall, and it is where the dishwasher file concentrates, 18 of our 25 dishwasher jobs.

The south side is where refrigerators tilt, 35 jobs against 33, which is close enough to be noise but consistent with an older and denser build-out on that side.

Neither half produces a different price. The with-a-part medians on the two sides sit within a few dollars of each other, which is what you would expect when the bill is mostly labor. Both sides are one dispatch area for us, and both are covered every day we run.

Ninety-seven percent of the addresses we have worked in Dallas are single-family houses with their own laundry room and their own garage, and that shapes the work more than income does. It means long dryer vent runs, it means second refrigerators standing in unconditioned garages through Georgia summers that have hit 110 degrees here, and it means almost no stacked closet units of the kind that dominate a condo market.

Where we do meet a stacked washer-dryer, the diagnostic is $150 rather than $99, because two machines have to come apart to reach either one.

Around Dallas

Paulding County sits at the northwest corner of our Atlanta coverage, and the same vans run the ring of cities around it. If you are reading this from a neighbouring town, these are the pages with that town’s own numbers on them: Douglasville directly south, Villa Rica south-west where the Paulding line meets Carroll County, Powder Springs south-east across the Cobb line, Acworth and Woodstock to the northeast, Marietta east across Cobb County, and Newnan further down the western edge of the metro. North-east in Bartow County is Cartersville, where ninety of our jobs landed in the last twelve months alone. South-east on Highway 278 is Hiram, the cheapest town on our Georgia map at a $317 median repair.

The full list of everywhere we run in this region is on the metro Atlanta service area page.

Match Your Symptom to the Likely Cause

  • Fridge section warm while the freezer still freezes — cold air is made in the freezer and pushed forward by the evaporator fan, so a dead fan motor or an evaporator iced over by a failed defrost heater leaves the freezer working and the fresh food side climbing. $395 to $422 all in on our company-wide numbers, and the most common refrigerator call we take anywhere. Full walkthrough in refrigerator not cooling, and the Dallas figures are on the Dallas refrigerator page.
  • Washer fills, then stops with water in the drum — drain pump at $381, or a lid switch or door lock at $351 telling the machine it is not safe to spin. Both are same-visit repairs when the part is on the van. See washer will not drain.
  • Dryer runs a full cycle and the clothes are still damp — in a Dallas subdivision this is a vent question before it is a part question, because these houses have long runs from an interior laundry room to an outside wall. A cleared vent is $350 and a heating element is $362, and a blocked vent is what burns the element out in the first place. See why a dryer takes too long.
  • Dishwasher leaves grit on the bottom rack — on soft water like this the answer is almost never scale. It is a spray arm, a circulation motor at $374, or a drain pump at $350 leaving dirty water in the sump between cycles. Background in dishwasher not cleaning.
  • Oven will not light, or lights late with a thump — on gas this is the ignitor, the single most replaced part in our entire company file, $352 all in. It weakens gradually before it fails, so the delayed light is the warning. See gas burner will not light.
  • Oven heats but the food says otherwise — temperature sensor at $357 or the control board at $475. A twenty-five degree swing is normal on a domestic oven and is not a fault; a hundred degree swing is. Oven temperature off explains how to read your own oven honestly.
  • Ice maker producing nothing, or hollow half-cubes — fill valve at $428, ice maker module at $449, or a frozen fill tube cleared at $393. On Samsung French-door units the ice compartment is the single most common complaint we take company-wide; see Samsung ice maker problems and the general diagnosis in ice maker not making ice.

The Brands We Actually Meet in Dallas

This is a count of service calls, not a reliability ranking. A brand appears often here because a lot of Paulding kitchens contain it, and popular brands generate more work for the same failure rate. We say that every time we publish this table, because the inverse reading is unfair to the manufacturers and useless to you.

BrandDallas jobsWhere it concentrates
Samsung41Refrigerators and laundry, the electronics-heavy end
Whirlpool33Laundry above all, then dishwashers
Frigidaire29Refrigerators first, then ovens and ranges
GE21Spread evenly across the kitchen
Maytag18Almost entirely laundry
LG10Refrigerators, including sealed-system work

Two things in that table are worth carrying into a buying decision. Frigidaire is unusually heavy in Dallas relative to the rest of the metro, which is a builder-package artefact rather than a verdict on the brand.

And LG at ten jobs is small in count but over-represented in the expensive tail, because LG linear compressor work is sealed system work; if that is your machine, the LG linear compressor write-up is the honest background before anyone opens a wallet.

Repair or Replace, on the Dallas Numbers

The arithmetic in this city is simpler than most, because the price distribution is so tight. Below roughly $500, which covers the overwhelming majority of Dallas work, a repair beats replacement on almost any machine that is under about ten years old, once you count delivery, haul-away, installation and the fact that a new mid-market appliance now carries a one-year warranty against our 90 days on the specific repair.

Above $900 you are almost always in sealed-system territory on a refrigerator or freezer, and that is the one conversation where replacement genuinely competes, especially on a unit past twelve years. That is exactly why the seven big invoices are published at the top of this page instead of being averaged into the middle.

The other half of the answer is the machine, not the money. A built-in or counter-depth refrigerator is repaired far more often than it is replaced, because replacing it is a cabinetry job rather than a delivery. A stacked laundry pair in a closet is the same story.

A twelve-year-old top-freezer in the garage is the opposite. Expected service lives by appliance are in how long refrigerators last and the rest of that series, and the full framework is in the repair or replace guide. Our technician will give you the number in your kitchen and you decide.

Two things in a Dallas kitchen are not a wait-and-see. If you smell gas anywhere near a range, a cooktop or a gas dryer, leave the appliance alone, do not operate any electrical switch, get everyone out and call Atlanta Gas Light or 911 from outside before you call any repair company. And if a dryer is running hot enough to make the laundry room smell scorched, stop using it that day: restricted vents and lint are the mechanism behind dryer fires, and in these houses the vent run is long. We will take that call the same day wherever we can.
How these numbers are built. Every figure on this page is the full ticket: the part, the labor and the service call added together, taken from completed invoices rather than a price list. The diagnostic is $99 and it comes off the bill when you approve the repair, $150 on a stacked washer-dryer or a double wall oven because two machines have to come apart. Work is covered by a 90-day parts and labor warranty. Local figures on this page come from 334 completed Dallas jobs in our own system. Where a local sample is too small to be honest, and on this cluster that is ice makers and freezers, we say so on the page and fall back to company-wide numbers instead of inventing a local one.

Dallas Appliance Repair, Answered

How much does appliance repair cost in Dallas, GA?

Across 334 Dallas jobs the median is $349 once a part is replaced, with the middle half of those repairs falling between $285 and $425. Five of our six appliance categories in this city land within eleven dollars of one another, because the bill is mostly the visit and the labor rather than the part.

The diagnostic is $99 and comes off the bill when you approve the repair. Seven Dallas invoices over the years have gone above $770, all of them sealed-system or multi-part jobs, and they are listed individually on this page.

Do you cover both sides of Dallas and out toward Hiram?

Yes. Both Dallas postal areas are one dispatch zone for us, from the north side up toward the Bartow County line down through the county seat to the south side toward Hiram and the Cobb County line. Our job counts are close to even between the two, 177 and 156, and the prices on the two sides differ by a few dollars, not by a tier.

Is hard water damaging my dishwasher or ice maker in Dallas?

Probably not, and this is one of the few places in Georgia where we can say that with a source. Part of Dallas water is purchased from the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority, which publishes a hardness of roughly 38 milligrams per litre of calcium carbonate against the 100 milligrams its own literature treats as hard.

Paulding County does not publish a hardness figure for its own Richland Creek supply, so we do not quote one. If a dishwasher is leaving grit or an ice maker is producing hollow cubes here, look at the spray arm, the circulation motor, the fill valve or the filter date rather than at scale.

Can you come the same day in Dallas?

Often, and most reliably if you call in the morning. 127 of our 334 Dallas jobs happened in the last twelve months, so a van is usually already on this side of the county. Refrigerator and freezer calls get priority because food loss runs on a clock.

You can pick a window yourself through the online booking form, or call and we will tell you what today actually looks like rather than promising a slot we cannot hold.

What does the $99 diagnostic actually buy?

A technician at your door, the machine opened up, the fault identified and a firm total for the repair before anything is ordered or fitted. If you approve the repair, the $99 comes off that total. It is $150 on a stacked washer-dryer or a double wall oven, because two machines have to be dismantled to reach either one. Completed work carries a 90-day parts and labor warranty.

Which appliance brands do you see most in Dallas?

Samsung at 41 jobs, Whirlpool at 33, Frigidaire at 29, GE at 21, Maytag at 18 and LG at 10. That is a count of service calls and not a reliability ranking, since a common brand generates more calls at the same failure rate.

The one genuinely local signal is Frigidaire, which is heavier here than across the rest of metro Atlanta and leads our Dallas refrigerator list outright at 14 of 69 jobs, a signature of the builder packages that went into Paulding County subdivisions.

Does appliance repair in Dallas have a busy season?

Our company-wide data across tens of thousands of jobs shows a clear summer peak, but we will not claim it for Dallas specifically, because the local file cannot support it. Taken year by year instead of pooled, only 2024 is a complete calendar year with jobs recorded in every month.

Our 2023 file for this city starts in July and the 2025 file has five empty months, which describes our own dispatch history rather than when appliances fail in Paulding County. One usable year is not a season, so we do not report one.
