Washer Repair Sun City Center FL
Across Florida, half of our washer repairs that needed a part were billed at $381 or less, with a quarter below $327 and a quarter above $462. Washer parts are priced close to one another, so once you know a Sun City Center washer needs a repair you can plan around a figure in the high three hundreds, then let the diagnostic confirm it. Company-wide prices by part, built from Bozmanfix invoices, are on our appliance repair parts cost page.
Schedule a Sun City Center Washer Repair
A washer that will not drain, will not fill, will not spin, leaks, bangs out of balance, refuses to lock its lid or flashes a code. Agitator and impeller top-loaders, front-loaders, and laundry pairs stacked in a closet, anywhere in Sun City Center or Kings Point.
We have 29 Sun City Center washer bookings on file, no two from the same home, and 16 of them fall inside the last twelve months.
A Washer Price You Can Plan Around
Some appliances carry one part that costs several times as much as the rest. A refrigerator has its compressor; an oven has its control board. A washer has no such outlier among its common repairs. The least expensive common washer repair is a drive belt as a whole bill, and the most expensive is a motor control board. The suspension, the drain pump, the inlet valve, the lid lock and the motor all fall in between.
For a Sun City Center household this means the price conversation on a washer is short. Approve the job and the $99 you paid for the diagnosis counts toward it.
What these figures include. These are totals as billed, with the part, the installation and the trip in one figure. Diagnosing a single washer costs $99; a washer with a dryer stacked above it costs $150 to diagnose, as the pair must be moved apart to get at the parts. Whichever fee applies becomes credit once you say yes, and the repair is covered for 90 days.
The Local Figure, With Its Limits
Locally, the midpoint washer repair with a part comes to $362 and the central half to $291 to $431, but the sample is small, so treat it as a check rather than a forecast.
| Washer repair with a part | Median | Middle half |
|---|---|---|
| Sun City Center (small sample) | $361 | $291 to $431 |
| Florida | $381 | $327 to $462 |
All three medians sit within $19 of each other. The largest local washer invoice is $715, on a Maytag that would not drain.
A GE Laundry Room
The brand mix in Sun City Center laundry rooms is unusual. Of the 28 washer jobs here with a brand on the tag, GE accounts for 11, which is 39.3 percent. Behind GE come Samsung and Whirlpool at five jobs each, then LG at four; Maytag, Kenmore and Amana are tagged on a single job apiece.
The GE washers in our notes include an agitator top-loader leaving rubber particles on the clothes, a GE that flashed a 4C code and would not take in hot water, and one where the start button stayed pressed in so the cycle could not begin. For a booking, the model number printed under the lid or on the back panel tells the technician which GE family the machine belongs to.
What the 29 Washer Notes Describe
We sorted all 29 washer descriptions by hand. Some describe two faults at once, so one booking can sit in two groups.
Water stays in the tub 6 NOTES
The largest group. Owners write that the washer is full of water and will not drain, that it stopped mid-cycle with the door still locked, or that a stacked LG showed an FE code and would not empty.
Water will not come in 3 NOTES
Three notes describe the opposite problem: a washer that will not fill before the cycle starts, one that takes in no water at all, and the GE with the 4C code and no hot water. On those calls the inlet valve and its supply screens go on the test list.
Leaks, noise and an unbalanced tub 4 NOTES EACH
Four notes mention a leak, including a Samsung front-loader with a torn door gasket. Four mention noise or an unbalanced load, from a washer that made a loud noise during the wash to a Kenmore described only as unbalanced. More background is on our page about a washing machine out of balance.
Spin, lid lock and start faults SMALLER GROUPS
Four notes say the washer would not spin. Two involve the lid lock, one of them a washer with a blinking red light that would not lock. In two more, the washer simply would not power up or begin a cycle. On the GE that left rubber particles on the clothes, the owner suspected the seal around the agitator.
In two of the 29 bookings the washer was half of a stackable pair. Those carry the $150 diagnostic, so mention a dryer mounted above the washer when you schedule.
Three details for the booking. Where in the cycle it quits, what the panel shows, and whether a dryer sits above it. Book online or call (863) 663-2086.
Which Washer Parts Each Fault Points To
- Stops full of water. We start at the pump and its filter, then follow the drain hose, and finish at the lid or door lock.
- Will not fill, or fills slowly. The inlet valve and the small screens in the hose connections, then the water level sensor.
- Bangs, shakes or walks. Shock absorbers, suspension springs or rods, and on older top-loaders the drive components.
- Puddle under the washer. On a front-loader the rubber door boot; on any washer the hose fittings, the pump housing and the seal under the tub.
- Lid or door will not lock. Lid switch or door lock assembly.
- Code on the display. Read the code to us at booking.
- Hums but will not turn. Drive belt, motor coupling, motor or motor control board.
Top-Loaders, Front-Loaders and Samsung Machines
The two washer designs fail in different places. A top-loader opens from above, holds the lid shut with a lid switch or lock, and on agitator models turns the clothes with a post in the center of the tub. A front-loader seals its door with a rubber boot and a door lock, and the boot is where a torn seal shows up as water on the floor. The diagnosis on both starts with the stage where the cycle fails, then moves to the part that controls that stage.
Samsung is tagged on five Sun City Center washer jobs. Our Florida Samsung washer repairs with a part have a $395 midpoint, and their central half spans $340 to $469. That is close to the all-brand Florida washer figure of $381, so the brand does not move the bill much.
When a washer stops with water in the tub, leave the door or lid closed if it is still locked. Note what the panel shows, and tell us at booking whether the water is clean or soapy and whether the washer stopped during the wash, the rinse or the spin. That narrows the diagnosis to the pump, the lock or the controls before the technician starts.
Fixing the Washer Against Buying a New One
Our repair or replace guide and the page on how long washing machines last lay out the reasoning. The repair price comes with the diagnosis, before anything is ordered, so the comparison is made with a real figure.
Where These Washer Jobs Come From
The washer numbers on this page use Sun City Center bookings in 33573 and nothing else. Apollo Beach shares that postal code, holding roughly 19 percent of its land by the Census Bureau’s count. When a 33573 washer booking names Ruskin as the town, it goes into our Ruskin washer repair page. The Riverview appliance repair page covers the communities to the north.
The regional view is on washer repair in Tampa Bay, every town we serve is on the Tampa Bay locations page, and all appliances in this community are summarized on the Sun City Center appliance repair hub.

Washer Questions From Sun City Center
How much do Sun City Center, FL homeowners pay to get a washer fixed?
A sensible planning number is $381, the Florida midpoint for washer repairs with a part, with the central half of bills between $327 and $462. The local midpoint, from a small sample, is $361. Both are complete bills including the trip and the labor.
Why are washer repair prices so close together?
On our full invoice history a drive belt is the cheapest common washer fix at $342 and a motor control board the dearest at $474; pumps, valves, suspension, lid locks, motors and front-loader boot seals land between them. No common washer part is priced like a refrigerator compressor, so the range stays narrow.
Do you work on GE washers?
Yes. GE is the brand we see most on Sun City Center washers, on 11 of the 28 jobs with a brand tag. We also repair Samsung, Whirlpool, LG, Maytag, Kenmore, Amana and other makes on the same price list.
My washer has the dryer mounted on top. What is the diagnosis fee?
Yes, it is $150 rather than $99, because the stacked units have to be separated to reach the washer’s parts. Approve the repair and those $150 are taken off its price, the same rule as with $99.
My washer stopped with water in it. What should I tell you?
Tell us the point in the cycle where it stopped, whether the lid or door is still locked, and any code on the display. Water left in the tub is the most frequent complaint in our Sun City Center washer notes, and those three details tell the technician which part of the drain path to test.
Is there a senior discount on washer repairs?
Yes. There is $30 off for seniors, $30 off for veterans and $20 off a first-time customer’s repair; bring it up while booking.
How long is a washer repair guaranteed?
We stand behind the part and the installation for 90 days, and members of Priority Membership get a longer warranty on everything we fix.
