Tierra Verde is an unincorporated community in Pinellas County, a census-designated place on the islands south of St. Petersburg. The Pinellas Bayway bridges connect it to St. Petersburg and St. Pete Beach, and Fort De Soto Park, a county park, lies at its southern end. The census counted 3,721 residents in 2010 and 3,836 in 2020.

Pinellas County Utilities serves Tierra Verde, and named the community in a February 2026 notice lifting a boil-water advisory. The county buys its water from Tampa Bay Water, which blends groundwater, treated surface water and desalinated seawater.

Duke Energy Florida supplies electricity, and in 2015 it replaced an underwater cable to serve its Tierra Verde customers. The Peoples Gas tariff covers unincorporated Pinellas County but does not name Tierra Verde, and we have not confirmed gas mains on the islands.
