Florida oven and range repairs at Bozmanfix that need a part come to $396 at the median, with half of the bills between $308 and $526. Venice does not yet have enough oven repairs on file for a local median of its own, so this page plans with the Florida figure and lets the Venice job notes show what kinds of cooking appliances we meet here. Company-wide prices by part, built from Bozmanfix invoices, are on our appliance repair parts cost page.

Get a Venice Oven or Range on the Schedule

An oven that will not heat, will not shut off or holds the wrong temperature, a control panel that has gone dark or shows a code, a gas burner that clicks without lighting, a cracked cooktop or a wall oven that stopped mid-bake. Freestanding ranges, slide-ins, cooktops, single and double wall ovens.

Cooking appliances make up 16 Venice jobs from 13 households, 10 of them within the past year, and GE is the brand on 6.

A Venice Kitchen Runs on Its Control Panel

We read every Venice oven and range note by hand, and the control panel comes up in several of them. A GE whose control panel did not work at all. A Dacor double wall oven that had a small fire inside, switched itself off and then showed an F0 code with every button dead. A KitchenAid microwave and oven combination that showed a code and stopped both halves. A GE electric oven that would not turn off, and the owner was shutting the breaker to stop it. A Whirlpool range whose cooktop light stayed on.

One note in the set describes a gas problem, a Kenmore gas stove that would not ignite. The other notes do not mention gas, and several are about panels, codes and wall ovens. That is a small set of jobs and we do not draw a rule from it, but it tells you the kind of visit to expect: the technician arrives ready to test a touchpad, a relay board, a temperature sensor and the element circuits, and to read the code the oven has stored.

A dead panel can be either one, or a sensor or a supply fault upstream of both. The diagnosis sorts that out before any part is named.

Oven and range repair with a partFlorida
Median full ticket$396
Middle half of bills$308 to $526

We leave the Venice column out of this table on purpose. Venice has far too few oven repairs with a part to publish a median, and a single large invoice would set it. The Florida figure rests on far more invoices and is the right number to plan with.

Oven Parts and Their Full-Ticket Prices

The gas igniter is one of the most-replaced oven parts in Bozmanfix records, and the board is among the dearest of the routine repairs. An oven that will not heat on the electric side leads the test to the element, the sensor and the board; on the gas side it leads to the igniter and the valve.

πŸ’‘ There is no separate charge for setting an oven’s temperature. A faulty sensor, thermostat or board is priced as one total, part, labor and visit included, before any work begins.

Inside the 16 Venice Oven and Range Notes

Panels and codes

Three Venice notes describe a dead control panel or a code: the GE panel that did nothing, the Dacor double wall oven with F0, the KitchenAid combination with a code on both halves. A note with two complaints counts toward both, so treat these as mentions.

Photograph the code and the panel before you book. On a wall oven, also tell us the brand and whether it is a single or a double unit.

An oven that will not stop 1 NOTE Β· POWER OFF

One GE electric oven in Venice kept heating and would not turn off, and the owner was cutting power at the breaker. That is the right instinct. An oven that keeps heating after it is switched off points to a relay on the control board or a stuck switch, and it should stay unpowered until a technician has tested it.

If you see flame inside an oven, keep the door closed and cut the power. One Venice double wall oven had a small fire inside and shut itself off.

Gas that will not light

A Kenmore gas stove in Venice would not ignite. The bake igniter on a gas oven doubles as the switch for the gas valve: if it glows but stays too cool, the valve never opens and nothing lights.

A gas smell at the range means: burners off, no switches flicked nearby, and a call to the gas utility from outdoors. Book the repair once the utility has made it safe. Our article on gas range repair covers the burner side.

Double wall ovens and combinations $150 DIAGNOSTIC

Three Venice notes name a double oven or wall oven, from Whirlpool, Samsung and Dacor. A double wall oven has to be pulled from its cabinet to reach the wiring and controls, so its diagnostic is $150 rather than $99. Approving the repair credits that $150 in full.

Say at booking that the oven is a double wall unit and the fee is fixed in advance.

Cooktops GLASS, LIGHTS AND ELEMENTS

Venice cooktop notes include a Thermador with broken glass and a Whirlpool range whose cooktop light stayed on. The regional page is cooktop repair in Tampa Bay.

What to send with the booking

1. The type. Tell us how it is installed: standing on its own, slid in between cabinets, set into the counter, or built into the wall as a single, double or microwave combination unit.

2. Gas or electric. And for a gas model, whether the burners, the oven or both are affected.

3. The panel. A photo of any code, and the model number from the label on the oven frame behind the door or the storage drawer.

Oven Symptoms and the Parts on the List

  • Electric oven stays cold: bake element, temperature sensor, then the control board.
  • Gas oven stays cold: igniter, then the gas valve and the board that drives it.
  • Temperature runs off: sensor and thermostat; there is no extra fee for setting the temperature once the part is right.
  • Panel dark or a code: touchpad, control board and the supply to them.
  • Will not turn off: a relay on the control board or a stuck switch. Keep the power off until it is tested.
  • Burner clicks, will not light: spark module, electrode and the burner cap seating.
  • Door will not lock after self-clean: the lock motor and its switch.

November Is the Oven Month

If the oven has been acting up in October, book before the holiday baking starts.

Gas and Electric Cooking in Venice

Electricity in the city comes from FPL, as the City of Venice tells new residents, while gas mains are a Peoples Gas matter, and that utility lists Venice, North Venice and the unincorporated county in its tariff. Gas cooking does exist here, though the Census survey does not record what fuel a range uses.

What the American Community Survey does record, for 2020 to 2024, is home heating: utility gas warms 10.9 percent of occupied homes in the city and 7.1 percent in 34293, electricity 86.0 and 90.3 percent. Heating fuel is not cooking fuel, so we quote it as a sign that gas service reaches part of the town, nothing more.

Where the Venice Oven Calls Come From

The southern code dominates the cooking work: 13 jobs from 34293, 2 from 34285 and 1 from 34292. That code reaches from South Venice and Venice Gardens across county land into the edge of North Port.

The median 34293 house dates from 1997. Gate codes matter here too, since 29 of our Venice notes mention a gate.

Oven Pages Up the Coast

Neighbors to the north have oven repair in Nokomis and oven repair in Sarasota. To the southeast there is oven repair in North Port, and beyond it the Port Charlotte appliance repair page. The regional page is oven repair in Tampa Bay, and every town is on the Tampa Bay locations hub.

From Diagnosis to a Working Oven

  • Diagnosis. $99, or $150 for a double wall oven.
  • The quote. One complete figure before work begins.
  • Approval. The diagnostic fee is credited once you say yes.
  • Cover. Ninety days on the new part and the time spent fitting it.

Repair the Oven or Replace It

A freestanding range swaps out easily. A wall oven or a slide-in has to fit the cabinet opening, and a new unit has to match the cutout. While the oven is open, the technician will mention any other part that looks close to the end.

How long ovens last covers lifespan, and the repair or replace guide sets a repair total against a new unit.

Oven and range pricing in Venice. A double wall oven is $150 to diagnose; every other range, cooktop or wall oven is $99. You hear the total first, the fee comes off it when you say yes, and our warranty covers part and labor for 90 days. Every oven figure here is a complete bill rather than a parts price.

Questions About Venice Ovens, Ranges and Cooktops

How much does oven repair cost in Venice, FL?

Use the statewide figure: $396 is the median Florida oven or range repair with a part, and half of those complete bills fall from $308 to $526. Local oven repairs are too few for a Venice median. Approve the repair and the diagnostic, $99 or $150 for a double wall oven, is credited.

My oven panel is dead. Is it the control board?

It can be, but the touchpad, a sensor or the supply can also leave a panel dark. The technician tests them in turn before naming one.

My oven will not turn off. What should I do?

Cut the power at the breaker and leave it off until a technician has tested it. An oven that keeps heating after it is switched off points to a relay on the control board or a stuck switch.

Do you charge extra to fix an oven’s temperature?

No. There is no separate fee for setting the temperature. A faulty sensor or thermostat is priced as one total with the part, labor and visit, and the $99 diagnostic comes off that total when you approve the repair.

Do you repair gas ranges in Venice?

Yes, gas and electric ranges, cooktops and wall ovens. With any smell of gas, keep the range off and ring the gas utility from outdoors. The repair comes after the utility has checked the line.

Is a double wall oven priced differently for diagnosis?

Yes, $150 instead of $99. The unit comes out of its cabinet before the wiring and controls can be reached, which is slower work than on a freestanding range, and the $150 still comes off an approved repair in full.

Which oven brands do you repair?

GE leads our Venice oven records, and the notes also include Whirlpool, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Thermador, Dacor and Samsung. We repair other major brands in freestanding, slide-in and wall designs.
