The City of North Port Utilities 2024 water quality report names the Myakkahatchee Creek as its principal raw water source, treated together with six intermediate groundwater wells, plus a second plant near Wellen Park that draws from four wells through reverse osmosis. The city also buys treated surface water from the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority.
That report does not state a hardness figure, so we do not quote one. We have also not confirmed which homes are on city water and which use a private well. A refrigerator with a dispenser, or a house on a private well, is worth flagging at booking.
