Appliance Repair in Kennesaw, GA

🔧 413 Kennesaw Jobs on Record 📍 Cobb County 🏠 344 Households Served 💰 $99 Diagnostic, Off the Repair 🛡️ 90 Days on Parts and Labor

Kennesaw is the second most Samsung-heavy city in Georgia. Of the 36 cities where we hold at least a hundred jobs with the make recorded, only Snellville runs higher: 35.9 percent there against 31.9 percent here — 58 of 182 branded jobs. Whirlpool is second at 47, Frigidaire third at 26.

That matters because Samsung platforms fail in their own way and take their own parts. This is also one of our largest files anywhere: 413 invoices from 344 households, with three appliances priced on local repairs — refrigerator $394, washer $333 and dishwasher $278.

Appliance Repair in Kennesaw, GA

Refrigerators, washers, dishwashers, dryers, ovens and ice makers across both Kennesaw postal codes — the Main Street and Big Shanty side, the university district, and the west Cobb subdivisions out toward Burnt Hickory and Stilesboro.

What a Samsung Town Means for Your Repair

💡 Brand concentration is a stocking decision, not a judgement. We record the make on every ticket, so a city’s brand mix is something we count rather than guess. With Samsung on almost a third of branded Kennesaw jobs, the failures our technicians expect here are the Samsung ones: French-door refrigerators with ice makers that frost over, front-load washers throwing codes rather than dying outright, and control boards on machines that are otherwise mechanically sound. That decides what rides on the van before the first call of the day. It says nothing about Samsung being worse — the most-serviced brand in any area is mostly a measure of how many people own it.

The file opened on 29 March 2023 and now runs to 413 invoices from 344 households, 64 of them in the last twelve months. Of 316 paid visits, 207 ended with a component fitted — the largest set of local repairs behind any page we have published. Two commercial accounts have been removed from every figure here.

Across those 207 repairs the median is $341, the middle half runs $282 to $432, and nine in ten come in under $601. Twenty-two invoices have passed $600 and five have passed $1,000, topping out at $1,440.

What Appliance Repair Costs in Kennesaw

Three machines carry Kennesaw prices, each built on more than twenty local repairs — a deeper base than most of our pages can offer. Dryers, ovens and ice makers stay on the company figure until they reach ten. Every number includes the part, the labor and the call-out.

Dryer118$348 company$295 to $406
Freezer and ice maker53$375 freezer, $425 icefreezer $295 to $492

The file has thinned rather than grown: 176 invoices in 2023, 113 in 2024, 83 in 2025 and 41 through September 2026. That is our coverage of the city changing, not demand in it, and we say so rather than presenting a shrinking record as a trend in how often appliances break in Cobb County. The 64 jobs of the last twelve months still make it one of our busier routes.

Those six rows account for 213 of the 413 invoices; the remainder carry no appliance tag. The refrigerator row alone rests on 44 local repairs, which is more part-fitted refrigerator work than we hold in most whole towns.

Dishwasher work at $278, on the deepest sample in the state 23 REPAIRS

Three Georgia towns share the bottom of our dishwasher table — Covington at $275, Smyrna at $278 and Kennesaw at $278 — and of the three, Kennesaw has the most repairs behind it at 23. The middle half runs $255 to $354, so half of all dishwasher work here finishes for less than the price of a control board.

Ranked by what they cost across the company, dishwasher faults run door latch $306, gasket $316, inlet valve $330, drain pump $335, element $360 and control board $375 — and Kennesaw work sits at the bottom of that ladder rather than the top. One job reached $1,050 in three years, a Whirlpool, and it is the only dishwasher invoice here above $600.

The refrigerator is where the money goes 80 CALLS, 44 REPAIRS

Eighty refrigerator calls, 44 of them ending in a part fitted, at a local median of $394 — close to the company figure but with a much wider middle half, $315 to $580. Two local invoices have passed $1,100 and the ceiling is $1,350.

With Samsung this prevalent, the two failures we meet most are the ice maker assembly, at a $470 company median for the module, and the evaporator fan at $426, followed by control boards at $510 and sealed systems at $580 and up. Check the settings first in refrigerator temperature, and if the whole cabinet is drifting rather than one compartment, read signs of a bad compressor before booking.

Two postal codes with different money 30152 AND 30144

Our work splits 218 jobs in 30152 and 195 in 30144, and the two areas are not the same place. 30152, the west Cobb side, holds 44,977 people at a median household income of $126,578 and a median home value of $427,500, with the median house built in 2000. 30144, the university and Main Street side, holds 59,661 people at $88,560 and $345,900, with a median build year of 1995 and far more attached and multi-family housing.

We charge the same in both and we do not check the code before booking. The split is worth stating only so you know the figures on this page are an average of two rather different housing markets — the west Cobb houses are newer and larger, the university side older and denser, and both are inside every number above.

Big Shanty, the General, and a university town 33,036 RESIDENTS

Kennesaw was called Big Shanty from its settlement in the 1830s until 1887, a stop on the Western and Atlantic Railroad five miles north of Marietta. On 12 April 1862 James Andrews and a party of Union raiders stole the locomotive General from the platform here — the town was chosen precisely because it had no telegraph — and the pursuit that followed became the Great Locomotive Chase. The General is still in town, at the Southern Museum.

The 2020 census counted 33,036 residents inside the city limits, up almost 11 percent in a decade, and Kennesaw State University sits at the north end as the third-largest public university in Georgia. Between the students, the west Cobb subdivisions and the older streets around Main Street, the housing we work in ranges from 1970s ranches to houses finished last decade.

Do We Cover Your Address?

Both 30144 and 30152: downtown Kennesaw and Big Shanty, the university district and the apartment blocks around it, Legacy Park and Swift-Cantrell, and the west Cobb neighbourhoods along Stilesboro, Burnt Hickory and Cobb Parkway.

Kennesaw is about 25 miles north-west of downtown Atlanta on Interstate 75 and part of our regular Cobb County run, so same-day and next-day appointments are ordinary. The drive is not billed, and the $99 diagnostic comes off the invoice once you approve the repair.

Around Kennesaw

North-west Cobb is a single loop for our vans. Acworth is north up Interstate 75, Marietta south with our largest Cobb file, Woodstock north-east in Cherokee County, and Powder Springs south-west.

The full metro map is on the Atlanta service area page.

Match Your Symptom to the Likely Cause

  • Ice maker frosting over or producing hollow cubes — the commonest Samsung complaint we take here. Filter and fill tube first, then the water inlet valve at $408 and the module at $470.
  • Fridge compartment warming while the freezer holds — the evaporator fan at $426 across 107 company repairs, or a defrost fault at $385.
  • Whole refrigerator losing cold — the control board at $510 or the sealed system at $580 and up, which produced both local invoices above $1,100.
  • Front-load washer showing a code and stopping — the door lock at $354 before the main board at $436; give us the code when you book and look it up in washer error codes.
  • Washer not draining — the drain pump at $370, once the filter and the standpipe have been ruled out.
  • Dishwasher holding water — the drain pump at $335, with the disposal knockout plug checked on newly installed machines.
  • Dishwasher dead at the panel — the door latch at $306, the cheapest common failure on the machine and the likeliest one.
  • Oven off temperature — a thermometer on the middle rack, then the sensor at $345 or the bake element at $313, the igniter at $350 on gas.
  • Dryer leaving clothes damp — the element at $346 or the thermostat at $350, with the vent run checked end to end: a dryer that will not heat.

Repair or Replace, on the Kennesaw Numbers

With dishwashers at $278 and washers at $333 locally, against $700 to $900 for comparable new machines delivered and connected, repair is the straightforward answer on both. The washer band is especially tight — $281 to $389 across 27 repairs — so the quote you get is close to the invoice you sign.

The refrigerator is the one that can go either way, and the wide local band says so honestly: $315 at the bottom quarter, $580 at the top. On a sealed-system failure in a cabinet past twelve years we give you both prices rather than a recommendation. How we weigh that call is written out in the repair or replace guide; what a machine ought to last before you face the question at all is in how long refrigerators last.

Appliance Repair in Kennesaw — Questions We Get

How much does appliance repair cost in Kennesaw, GA?

Three machines have local prices: refrigerator $394 across 44 repairs, washer $333 across 27 and dishwasher $278 across 23, each covering the part, the labor and the call-out. Across all 207 local repairs the median is $341, with the middle half between $282 and $432.

Ovens, dryers, freezers and ice makers are quoted from the company book at $375, $348 and $375 respectively, because each sits under the ten local repairs we require.

Do you service Samsung appliances?

Constantly — Samsung is 58 of the 182 Kennesaw jobs that record a make, 31.9 percent, the second-highest share of any Georgia city where we hold a hundred or more branded jobs. Our technicians carry Samsung parts on this route as a matter of course, particularly ice maker components and front-load washer door locks. Give us the model number at booking and the right part usually travels with the visit.

Why is dishwasher repair cheaper here than the company figure?

At $278 across 23 local repairs it is $52 below our company median, and the reason is which parts fail. The middle half of local dishwasher work runs $255 to $354 — latches, valves and drain pumps rather than control boards and circulation motors. Only one dishwasher invoice here has ever passed $600.

Which appliance do you repair most in Kennesaw?

Refrigerators at 80 calls and 44 repairs, then washers at 55 calls and dishwashers at 42. This is the deepest appliance file we hold outside the city of Atlanta itself, so those counts are unusually solid.

Do you cover both 30144 and 30152?

Yes, at the same rate — 195 of our jobs are in 30144 and 218 in 30152. That covers the university side, downtown and Big Shanty, and the west Cobb neighbourhoods out toward Burnt Hickory.

What is the most expensive repair in your Kennesaw file?

$1,440. Five invoices have passed $1,000 and 22 have passed $600, out of 207 repairs — so about one repair in ten lands at the high end, and those are almost entirely refrigerators.

Do you work with student rentals and apartments near the university?

Yes. We can bill a landlord or management company while arranging access with the tenant, and the same warranty and discounts apply. Give us both contact numbers when booking so the technician is not left at a locked door.

What does the $99 diagnostic buy?

A technician at the property, a fault identified by testing rather than assumption, and a firm price before work begins. Approve it and the $99 is deducted from the invoice. A stacked laundry pair or double wall oven is $150, since the units must be separated first, and 90 days on parts and labor cover the repair.
